Gloc-9 Recognizes LGBT through "Sirena"

Gloc-9, an award-winning and one of the most successful music artists in our country once again proven his ingenuity with his craft for  his new single entitled "Sirena" under his latest album "MKNM: Mga Kwento Ng Makata," under Universal Records.

Boy Abunda acknowledged Gloc-9 for making the song Sirena during his interview last night in Bandila's Ikaw Na! segment. The song emphasizes the pain of a gay suffering from the unfair judgement of the society and sometimes, even with his own family. The music video also shows how loving and fair a gay can be after all the heartaches and judgement he received. The music video's last part also shows successful and active gays in their respective fields like Boy Abunda and Danton Remoto to name some. Sirena is creatively done in collaboration with Ebe Dencel.

Perhaps one of the catching lines of the the song is "Di sinusukat ang tapang at ang bigote sa mukha dahil kung minsan mas lalaki pa sa lalaki ang bakla" .

With his new single I can say, he will be able to earn more respect and support from the LGBT community.

"MKNM: Mga Kwento ng Makata" Tracklist:

1. Balak ni Syke
2. Apatnapungbara feat. Ian Tayao
3. Silup feat. Denise Barbacena
4. Alalay ng hari feat. Allan Mitchell Silonga
5. Sirena feat. Ebe Dancel
6. Hindi mo nadinig feat. Jay Durias
7. Sino (interlude)
8. Salarin feat. Bamboo Manalac
9. Inday feat. Cathy Go
10. Bakit hindi feat. Billy Crawford
11. Malakas (interlude)
12. Pison feat. Chito Miranda
13. Thankful feat. Maychelle Baay of Moonstar88 & Bambu

Bonus Tracks
14. Hari ng tondo feat. Denise Barbacena
15. Kung tama Siya feat. Jaq Dionisio of Kissjane

Ms. World 2012 - Ms. Philippines Talent

"She set a new trend in a beauty pageant's talent showcase. "

Ms. Philippines Queenierich Rehman, wowed the audience in Ms. World 2012 talent portion which is being held in China.

The 23-year-old contestant, who hails from Pasay City, keeps her act a surprise, having the pageant hosts introduce her act as a mystery. She starts off singing beautifully, crooning like your average (read: above-average) pageant queen. Then the beatboxing begins, a medley that includes 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake and even "Teach Me How To Dougie." (huffingtonpost)

The final round of Miss World 2012 will take place on August 18 at the Ordos Stadium Arena in China. Who do you think will be crowned as Ms. World 2012?

August Mindburst : Let's Get Physic-Al

For most of us, Physics seems to be one of the hardest subjects in school. Many students thought that it is all about long and complicated computations.  I remember when I was studying, my heart was always pounding whenever my teacher or professor asked me to solve a problem during our recitation. But the joy I felt is priceless and incomparable whenever I understand and solve problem correctly (it only happened a few times though, haha!). This month of August, The Mind Museum will take you to an experience of understanding Physics in more understandable and fun way as Mindburst presents "Let's get Physic-al, Physics for All". In this event you will learn the practical use and importance of understanding Physics in our everyday life.
